About Kathleen Recently retired from a long career in the medical field, I’m looking for a change of pace. Dogs have been a part of my world my entire life. I would love to open my home to care for and love your fur babies as my own. I have a large, completely fenced in yard with grass and an area for digging if that’s what your baby wants to do. If your baby gets dirty while staying with me, with your permission, I will give them a quick bath, no extra charge. No carpet, so no worries about muddy paws. (That’s what mops are for!) Do your babies love walks? So do I! Great safe neighborhood for plenty of exercise. Senior pups are close to my heart, I’m happy to just sit and cuddle. Sleep in my bed? Absolutely! Lounge on my couch? Of course! Please let me know how I can help you.

I have been SO thoughtless, irresponsible & inconsiderate for the delay in posting a review for THE BEST babysitter anyone could ever ask for. It is not only sad for Kathleen & the business I may have cost her with my VERY LATE review, but also for the babies who may have gotten substandard, poor or inadequate & unloving care because Kathleen was NOT their sitter. There aren't enough words, time or space to describe how wonderful she is; not only for those "in" here care, but also for those mommies &/or daddies who are in a position of being unable to care for their babies, whether at home or away. She texted us frequently during our 9 days away & included plenty of pics & videos. She included basic info any pet parent would want to know, as well as cleverly worded often hilarious descriptions of their daily antics and goings-on. Also, we usually got a "nighty-night from bed, where they were allowed to sleep with her every night, just like they do at home.
Kathleen did a wonderful job with our two dogs, very accommodating and good communication with updates and photos!

Kathleen and my dogs had an amazing visit! We traveled for 4 days and Kathleen took amazing care of Jenna and Valor! She sent us updates and pictures on a regular basis, so we didn't worry at all! We will definitely reserve her again!

I do not crate unless I have to. If a dog is displaying ANY aggressive tendencies towards others I will crate and call call you immediately. You may be required to pick your pet up is necessary. The safety of other pets in my care is my number one priority. Sometimes crating a dog is necessary. This requires a lot of planning in order to allow separate potty breaks, play time and feeding. If your pet is a “one dog” pet, please let me know in advance. I may be able to accommodate your pet only for the time needed. Extra boarding fee may apply.

I do require all dogs be vaccinated, spayed or neutered. If your pet is not vaccinated due to medical reasons and under the care of a veterinarian, please provide proof as such. All dogs are special! Senior dogs, those in wheelchairs or those with other disabilities/special needs win my heart 100% of the time. I will take extra gentle care of these special babies. If your pet requires a special diet or medications, not a problem; trust me to administer per your instructions. You can be assured that whatever you do to make your baby happy and comfortable in your home, I will do the same in mine. Other pets such as birds, rabbits or reptiles are welcome. I have raised three boys so am not squeamish or freaked out by anything that slithers, crawls, hops or swims. Over the years, dachshunds, chihuahuas, boxers, labs, shepherds, and a few mixes in between, have been my beloved pets. Lucky for me, birds, rabbits, snakes, gerbils and ferrets also found their way into my pet world. As I said before....raised three boys, so if it was brought home, it was a loved pet. A typical day
We can play ball, play in paddle pool or splash pad (see pictures) give treats, work on basic commands or tricks, take LOTS of selfies and send them to you. I do have an abundance of cheeky squirrels and birds in my yard. If your pup loves a challenge, these squirrels are sure to provide that. I love to garden so I’m outdoors a lot. I provide LOTS of cuddle time and reassurance if your baby wants or needs that.

Availability
I am available to watch your pet full time. I am retired and look forward to having pups to play with all day! I realize I am very lucky to have the health, energy and love it takes to provide exceptional care for your pets. This job is not for everyone. It requires constant “poop patrol” so your pet can enjoy my beautiful yard safely. It requires a high energy person and one who is organized. I am able to interpret a dogs behavior, signals and energy. I am quickly able to intervene when needed. I trust my many years of experience with our canine companions to provide a fun, safe environment. Feeding and care is done per YOUR instructions, not what’s convenient to me. I work for you and your pet.
