I grew up on a farm and have cared for animals, particularly dogs, my entire life. I have also been employed as a professional walker, house-sitter, and at a dog boarding facility. Because of my background, I have a deep understanding of what makes dogs feel cozy and comfortable while their guardians are away. Attention to daily habits, exercise, cozy surroundings, pets and loves are integral to my approach. Present moment awareness is what makes me unique. I listen to dogs to give them what they need, moment to moment. If a pup is wound up, they get a run and play. If they’re tired or stressed, they can have a quiet bed with stroking and calming soundscape. I don’t simply care for dogs... I listen to what they need in the moment to ensure that they feel comfortable and secure. It’s this highly individualized, flexible approach that makes me different from other sitters or boarding facilities. I am physically fit and able to exercise dogs with more energy. I have lived in Boulder for eight years, so I am familiar with many trails and parks. I am comfortable hiking off-leash, if that’s something your pup would enjoy! I have raised many puppies over the years and even have a puppy pen for the youngsters. For seniors, I am comfortable administering medication and taking frequent pee-pee breaks. I also have experience with special-needs dogs and those with behavioral issues.
