I’m an animal lover with extensive experience working with dogs (as well as many other animals). As a dog owner, I understand that your dog needs truly special care while they’re away from home. I have a highly flexible schedule, and endless love to give to your pup. My background includes working with dogs as well as many other animals, like cats, birds, horses and even pigs! I grew up with dogs in our household, from Cocker Spaniels and Boxers to Bulldogs and Weimaraners. I now have a Golden Retriever, Holly. I've had Holly since she was 9 weeks old, and she just celebrated her 15th birthday in October. When people meet her, they remark at how well-trained and sweet she is. I've had experience with very young dogs are very old dogs with special needs. I’ve provided dog care to breeds ranging from Yellow Labs, MinPins, Hound Dogs, German Shepherds, Poodles, Huskies — the list goes on. My experience with various dog breeds and ages has taught me to keep a keen eye out for any changes in personality, behavior and mobility. I'm experienced at giving medications and subcutaneous shots/fluids. My own dog suffers from arthritis, so we have a special diet, twice weekly swim therapy, hydromassage and regular acupuncture. I love dogs’ enthusiasm for life, their energy, their loyalty, their playfulness, their desire for your company and their eagerness to please. I can also relate to their love of food! When your pup stays with me, they’ll find a warm, loving environment, and fun, sensitive, detail-oriented care.
