Pet care experience

Hi friends! Living in Sedona,AZ from November2023 - March 2024. I live in Washington state for the majority of the year but return to Sedona each winter to spend time with my family as my parents and sisters family all live here full time. Please ignore info below as this is my Washington state residence. Moved to Trout Lake,WA and am available for dog sitting once again! The property is used for cattle, farming, weddings and so much more during the spring, summer, and fall months. The property is a pup oasis as there are endless trail systems all around for us to adventure on! I am available to meet in Husum or potentially White Salmon for pup pick up. I look forward to hearing from you! References available upon request. Blessings, Katherine I have been taking a small break from pet sitting due to school and farming but am back at it! All animals (especially dogs) hold an extremely special place in my heart. Over the last five years I have worked with almost fifty different dogs ranging in a variety of age, breed, temperament, and size. I live on a 10 acre farm so there is plenty of room for your pup to exercise and play. I do have a small pup of my own who is sweet as pie. There is also an older dog, a friendly cat-dog, and chickens that live on the property during these winter months. I am a music-loving farmer with a passion for the outdoors and living life in a state of ease and joy.

Katherine is an EXCELLENT sitter, and I cannot say enough great things about her and the care she gave to my pet! She is an experienced dog sitter who was very flexible with my schedule and responsive with plenty of puppy updates! I have never left my dog, Kelly, with a pet sitter that wasn't a close friend or family member before, so I was a little nervous to leave her with a new sitter in a new town at first. As soon as I met Katherine, all of my anxiety went away!! She was super kind, friendly, and welcoming towards me, and she was very clearly an experienced pet sitter who knew her stuff! Kelly got cozy in the house pretty quickly on drop-off, and I knew she would be comfortable staying at Katherine's for a couple of days! She made sure to send me Kelly updates with photos, and even kept an extra close eye on Kelly when she got sick during her first night in the house. When some seriously bad weather in Texas led to a series of flight cancellations, Katherine was flexible with her schedule and took in Kelly for four days more than originally planned. She didn't even hesitate to say yes when I'd ask if Kelly could continue to stay! On pick-up, Kelly seemed like she was ready to be a permanent roommate on the farm! She was definitely well taken care of and seemed comfortable and happy in Katherine's care. Katherine took such great care of Kelly, and I really couldn't have asked for a better sitter. I would 100% book Katherine as a sitter in the future! THANK YOU!

Katherine was a terrific dog sitter! My two, high-energy Jack Russells had a great time with her and came back completely exhausted. Will definitely book with her again! A+!

A typical day

Walks will always be included if the dog is physically able. I am very passionate about mentally and physically engaging the dog in activities. I feel it is important to remind the dog that they have a purpose and make them feel a sense of responsibility. By giving the physical attention and mental stimulation they feel that sense of purpose. The great outdoors is very therapeutic for both humans and animals. We will likely be walking and working on the property. If it is too cold your pup will stay inside where it is warm and toasty.
