The summer I turned 18 I begged my parents for a dog, driving them crazy until they finally said I could have one. While I thought I wanted a German Shepherd, when I saw Gigi on the DFW Humane Society website, I knew I had to have her. She looked so helpless in her cage, abandoned by her family and unsure of who to trust. Ten years later and it still feels like yesterday that she became a part of our family! It was through caring for her that I learned how to properly feed, train and take care of pups in the loving way that they deserve. Living on my own, I am now also the proud mama of Robbie and Sasha, my own two rescued pups. When people ask me if I have children, I answer yes, as I consider my pups to be my kids and I spoil them as such. I’m sure you know what I’m talking about! As a dog mom, I felt horrible leaving Robbie and Sasha home alone all day while I worked in the corporate world. I made the decision to leave that world and focus full-time on pet-care because 1) Caring for animals is what I truly love to do, and 2) This was a way that I could spend more time with my furbabies. I treat my clients’ pups with same respect and care that I treat my own dogs, nothing but love! As an active person myself, I make exercise and play a top priority so your pup will never be bored and will always get their steps in! I’m constantly researching new places to explore, the best in tasty, organic treats, and I keep my home clean, pet-friendly and open so your pup feels safe, secure and happy when in my care. I know that each pup has his or her own unique personality with set preferences and quirks. I build trust by getting to know your dog as much as possible and then tailoring my care to his or specific needs. Open communication is very important to me and I make sure I update you with your pup’s progress throughout the day. Anytime I take them out, feed them or finish exercising them, you will know about it! Overall, I’m loving, caring and completely dedicated to my job as a pet-sitter and dog-walker.
