Pet care experience
I am a responsible and experienced dog and cat sitter. As an animal lover my entire life, I gain immense joy and pleasure from interacting and caring for dogs, as well as cats. I've been a volunteer at the Sonoma Humane Society for over 10 years and I have cared for all types and breeds. Growing up we had labs, golden retrievers and terriers in our household. I'm exceptionally good at playing with and entertaining animals. Caring for, and attending to their unique and particular needs is important to me. I'm reliable, trustworthy, and respectful of both animals and the owner's property. I'm a non-smoker and I always leave my clients' homes in the condition I find it or better! I would love to meet and take care of new canine or feline friends.

Katherine was an excellent pet sitter. She went out of her way to learn about our cat and her needs, and spent a lot of time playing with her. We received regular updates with photos, and Katherine was always friendly and respectful. She came to our home ahead of time to meet us and our cat, which made us comfortable leaving our pet in her care. She left our home and garden in excellent shape. Highly recommend.

Katherine was terrific. She and Corky had a mutual love affair going on while we were gone. And we came home to a happy dog and a very tidy house.

My pet-sitting for clients involves maintaining the routines of the animals, following instructions and giving them lots of play-time, love and attention. Every animal has unique needs and I give the appropriate cared required. I try to ensure that each pet is comfortable and happy. I keep my clients' homes neat and clean and I treat their property and pets with respect. I can also perform miscellaneous tasks like gathering the mail and watering plants, etc., if requested.

I would like to know about your dog or cat's character and personality, his/her likes and dislikes and what he enjoys doing. I'd also want to know if he has any special requirements or needs and what those are. It's good to know the level of training your pet has, as well as feeding, exercise and sleeping schedules. Veterinary contacts and health information would be needed too.
A typical day
I'm all about the dogs and cats...what their needs are, how I can make the experience enjoyable, comfortable and fun for them. I am sensitive to the moods and dispositions of animals and would act accordingly to their level of interaction. I make sure they are well fed and loved. I also will bring in mail, water plants, etc., if requested.

I am an artist/illustrator who works from home so I can devote ample time and attention to the animals I'm caring for. I can adapt my work around their schedules and I'm willing and able to be at home with them a great deal of the time.
