Eager Pet Sitter and Dog Walker

Pet care experience

Hi! My name is Katherine, I'm 18 years old, and looking to help people take care of their pets! I am very comfortable around dogs and cats. My family had a cat for about 15 years until he passed away last fall, but in the last few years that he was with us, I was responsible for feeding him, playing with him, and cleaning his litter boxes. I also really love dogs, and have helped take care of a lot of my friends' dogs. While one of my friends was away, her family left me in charge of feeding her dog, giving the dog her medicine, and taking her on walks. I really valued the experience caring for a dog first-hand, and am always looking to help care for other dogs, and spend time with them.

I walk for about an hour every day, and I would love to spend that time with dogs. About every other day I tend to go hiking in Frick Park and I would love to take dogs along on the trail as well.

Availability

I am on a gap year, and just looking to pick up some one-time and part-time recurring jobs. I am available almost always, but I rely on my parents' cars for transportation, so I am more likely to have access to transportation on Weekends, as well as Mondays and Wednesdays. I am also more than willing to bike or walk to a job that is close enough to me (I live in Squirrel Hill), and for some one-time jobs on weekdays I can arrange transportation ahead of time.
