Pet care experience
I grew up with only two dogs in my home - a Keeshond when I was little and a Bernese Mountain Dog who was my best friend and shadow all throughout high school and most of college. However, living in a tight-knit neighborhood provided me with many opportunities to love up on my neighbors' dogs and watch them frequently whenever my neighbors were out of town. I have adored every single one I've ever had the opportunity to play with, walk, or dog sit. I have experience with dog breeds of all sizes and energy levels: from my grandma's little chihuahua, Rita, who I watched frequently in High School; to a Labrador retriever puppy who was a ball of energy; and most frequently with my family's Rhodesian Ridgeback. I am very big on positive reinforcement for good behavior and lots of chasing and playing around. I also have experience with senior dogs and am comfortable with administering special care (medication, carrying, etc.) when necessary. I will do everything necessary to ensure that your dog receives amazing care and lots of love. I am also very experienced with caring for cats and small animals. I have two cats of my own and have never met a cat that I didn't like. I am a current law student with flexible hours for walking or dropping in during the day. I hope that you choose me to take care of your fur babies - big and small!

Amazing walker for our doggo! Super great communication and report cards each day with photos. Very easy to coordinate with Katherine and super flexible, followed all our directions and responsive to our needs etc. It was great having someone taking care of our boy when we needed someone :D
Katherine is an extremely hard-working and flexible dog walker. I had broken my ankle, and was going into surgery the next day, and a friend who had previously agreed to stay over and walk my 65 lb siberian husky had an unforeseen a personal crisis that made her unavailable. I requested to book Katherine for four days (Fri, Sat, Sun, Mon) for 3, hour long walks a day, just the afternoon of the day before surgery (Thu). Within a couple of hours, Katherine messaged me and we worked together to figure out a schedule that worked for both of us. Over the course of the four days, Katherine was punctual and communicative, as well as astute in asking questions around things like allergies and tendencies, and Beans (the husky) was content and tired every day. She worked through adverse weather conditions, and Beans, from the very first meeting, was very taken with her (which is abnormal, as he almost always is indifferent about humans). I highly recommend Katherine as a walker if you live in the SLU area.
Kate has been my dog sitter for the past few years. She always shows great concern and care for my pups, Steve and Bucky. She is amazing about sending me updates about how they're doing and treats them just like they're her own fur babies. She is one of the best dog sitters I've ever had and is wonderful at responding quickly about anytime I need her. Steve and Bucky absolutely adore her and she has taken wonderful care of them every single time.

I love to introduce dogs to new walking routes to mix things up. I am also happy to run back and forth with a dog. I love to play games with them and also give lots of belly rubs and ear scratches.

Availability
I HAVE SOME FLEXIBLE AVAILABILITY DURING THE ENTIRE WEEK OF THANKSGIVING PLEASE MESSAGE ME FOR SPECIFIC AVAILABILITY THAT WEEK IF NEEDED. I am currently free some mornings during the week and daily in the afternoon and evenings. I am happy to do drop in visits Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays before 9:00am, but limit walks to after 12:30pm on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays; and after 3:00pm on Wednesdays and Fridays. I have flexible availability on the weekends, however, I am often unavailable Sunday mornings, though it does vary. If you have a need outside of those times, please ask and I will do my best to accommodate you.
