Pet care experience
I've been a dog owner for over 16 years so taking care of doggies is second nature. My children are all grown so even more time to shower doggies with TLC. I am retired and am home full time, with occasional errands or appointments. My family loves doggies, and they are around often to play with them. My schedule is very flexible, and last-minute scheduling is welcome. I have a big home, with a large fenced back yard for doggies to romp around. ***UPDATE: I have temporarily moved into a pied-a-terre in the Green Lake neighborhood.*** My neighborhood is very dog-friendly, and walkable, with lots of different paths to explore. I will make sure your doggie is safe and supervised, and get lots of stimulation such as walks.

Katherine was great! Our dog was sad to leave. She was taken on multiple walks every day, was in a loving home set up to provide anything a dog might need. We received regular videos and updates. Katherine’s sweet dog, Hana, was kind and gentle with Libby, our younger dog. We would highly recommend Katherine!
Katherine did an amazing job caring for Ginny! I was nervous to leave her overnight for the first time but her frequent photos and videos kept me at ease.
Katen is the best ever! My dog was so well cared for and so happy I didn't think he would come home with me. I received many pictures and cute videos daily.
Great communication and happy dog pictures made me feel reassured on my vacation. Highly recommend!

IIf your doggie has any special needs, e.g., separation anxiety, diets etc, it would be helpful to let me know beforehand so that I can cater to their needs. If you'd like to pack a hair/toothbrush, I can brush them. I've noticed that they play a lot, and their hair may get tousled. I prefer doggies that are not excessive barkers because I am a considerate neighbor. Also, I do not accept doggies with fleas.
A typical day
I have a very gentle and fun two-year old doggie, Hana, who is about 28 lbs. So your doggie will have lots of opportunity to play with Hana, also go on walks together. We can play toss the ball and fetch. We've even taken Hana on sailboats and kayaks. I also have classical music playing most of the day, and since I am home, I interact regularly with cuddles, petting, hugs. I treat my doggies like one of my children, a family member, so it is more natural interaction.

Availability
I am home most all of the day so your doggie will get lots of supervision, interaction, cuddling, and lots of fun! I love walking doggies around our wonderfully walkable neighborhood. I can walk one, two, or mutliple doggies. It is one of the highlights of my day to get some exercise, with adorable doggies and their wiggly steps :)
