I have been house/pet sitting since I was 9 years old. I have rescued dogs my entire life with my family and love working with animals. I also worked at a veterinarian office as a kennel technician for a year, then worked as a veterinarian technician for a year taking care of the animals day to day and in surgery. I am a recent college graduate from the University of Redlands with a B.A. in Environmental Studies and GIS Spatial Studies. I always try to respect the boundaries owners have for their animals in their own homes (i.e. times they eat, allowed on the furniture or not, times/distances to be walked, etc.) I also try to spend as much time with the pets as much as I can, so the animals don’t feel as though they were left behind. I have two dogs of my own back home and I have a roommate with 2 cats, so I try to make them as comfortable as me or more! I like to think of it as, we as humans and owners are their entire lives so it’s important we make it a good one!
