Pet care experience
I am a compassionate and energetic middle school counselor who LOVES animals and would love to help take care of yours! I've worked in multiple pet stores, so I know a bunch about dog behavior and health, and I have cared for many dogs through Rover as I've moved around for work and school. I live in a very dog-friendly apartment building with tons of great spaces to walk. I usually walk my 2-year old dog (he LOVES every animal and human he meets) two hours a day and would love to bring your friend with us as much as they would like! I have a huge window that keeps animals very entertained when I can't be at home. I teach in a school very close to home, so I come home for lunch in the middle of the day to get outside for a little while and go for a midday dog walk. We also love to go to the (fully fenced) tennis court and run around and chase sticks. Your dog will have plenty of excitement if they want it! Henry (my dog) will be happy to keep your dog entertained while I'm out, or he can give your dog space if that makes everyone more comfortable! He is so sweet and becomes best friends with every dog who stays with us.

He loves to go run around the fully fenced-in tennis court to get some energy out and would be very happy to have your dog come along if they would like that!

A typical day
I wake up early and take my dog, and any visitors, on a nice morning walk (usually we walk somewhere for coffee because I'm not a morning person, even though I have to be)! We'll eat, play for a while, and then the pups can settle in when I head to work. I come back midday for a walk, any food/medicine needs, and then head back to work. Evenings are usually either a walk or trip to a park, some playtime, dinner, and then relaxing/a few more bathroom trips out before bed.

Availability
I teach, so am home before the 9-5 crowd and don't leave home until about 8:45 in the morning. I am lucky to come home on my lunch breaks to walk and feed my own dog and will make sure your dog has all their needs met, too! We love long and short-term stays and are very flexible with logistics :)
