The only reason I do not have a dog is that I live in a dorm during the school year. I love everything about dogs and I love living life with dogs. My dog and I growing up were two months apart and we did so many things together; she was definitely my best friend! We ran together, played outside together, went to the beach together, watched tv together, and she even slept right outside my door every night to protect me. Dogs have a special place in my heart and bring my life so much joy! I wouldn’t change a second of my 15 years with Cinnamon (my golden retriever). I promise that I would love and care for anyone else’s dog the way I cared for my own growing up.

I know that dogs can be anxious when their loved ones are gone, even for short periods of time! I would love to spend a bit of time with a dog before I dogsit them, only because then they know me and know they can trust me. If not, I have no trouble making friends with them very quickly!
A typical day
I love walks in the Arboretum or through the Diag on campus, and I know there are many people who love to stop and give dogs loving attention while they are out and about. I’m also willing to drive to dog parks in the nearby area because the more dogs and the more area to run, the better! One of the things I love about dogs is that usually that means I have a built in friend. I would love to sit on the couch with the dog or with it at my feet while I work or watch tv. They would not be neglected, that is guaranteed!
