My name is Kathy and I've grown up with dogs my whole life and love caring for them! I owned a dog for 3 years and it was one of the best and most important parts of my life. I believe in the importance of understanding how each dog behaves and communicates to improve their environment and well-being. I love taking dogs on walks and playing with them. I also believe in the importance of setting boundaries when there needs to be, rewarding good behavior and building a relationship with a pet, even as a dog-sitter. My career requires a lot of organization and planning, so when I am dog-sitting, I always stick to the dog's usual schedule to keep them from changing routine (because I know I'm not a fan of that!). My previous dog had separation anxiety from being abandoned as a puppy, so I have experience in that. She also loved bedtime stories and giving high fives, which I'd love to share with your pet! I am unable to keep pets in my apartment overnight, but I have had a couple dogs here during the day to care for them. I do love cats, but I'm allergic so I can't be around them for very long!
