Pet care experience
Gentle, consistent and assertive, I can drop in to feed, exercise, or walk your dog up to two times every day: experienced with several ages, breeds and sizes, I can walk them or play with them on-site. Maintaining a calm, healthy level of play and exercise is crucial to a dog's happiness, and I can provide that environment for your pet while you are busy getting things done! Dogs seek a pack leader in their owners and caretakers, and without one (or without sufficient energy release) can resort to negative behaviors like nipping, climbing on furniture, digging, pacing, excessive barking, or jumping on people. I love animals and am happily negotiable for grooming, simple training reinforcement (practicing commands or games established by the owner), or puppy care. I also have experience with adult cats, kittens, freshwater fish, aquarium cleaning, pigeons, songbirds, guinea pigs, goats, sheep, and have had several *brief* encounters with pet squirrels (ha ha willing to learn). Katherine did a phenomenal job with our Sven! She was always on time and did an amazing job of communicating each visit, even noticing when his attitude or demeanor was different than usual. Sven was a tiny pup and Katherine was very patient and sweet with him while he was learning manners. Highly recommended!

It helps a ton if you let me know a few things ahead of time, like if your dog is a known "runner", escape artist, or has any odd habits/quirks (maybe he freaks out if he sees a broom, maybe she loves to play dead, maybe they chew on the table leg relentlessly if they're allowed in the kitchen). Stuff like this helps prevent any confused or alarmed text messages.
A typical day
Every dog is different, and every visit i make is different for that reason. A puppy with high energy and a love of fetch is going to have the time of his life, as is a senior dog with love of naps and a penchant for tracking down smells at a leisurely pace. I listen to your pet and we build the perfect day for them together.

Availability
I hold down a day job Monday to Friday, but on weekends it's my laptop and me in a home office, leaving plenty of wiggle room for me to play with your pups! It gives me a chance to get out of my house and it means i can hold down two streams of income at the same time.
