Hi! My name is Katherine! I am currently studying for medical school exams, and I love to break up long study days by taking walks outside! I'm here to help your pup or kitty get lots of love and attention while you're at work or traveling! My family got our first cat when I was 3, and I adored him! He was a well traveled cat in our family, moving from Georgia to England and Illinois then finally back to Georgia. Louie was very docile - he would let little me play with him, then sleep with me at night. When I was around 11, our family adopted our first dog, a chihuahua-jack russell mix - Lily. Lily and Louie didn't get along much, but I loved the time I got to spend with each of them. I adored playing in the yard or living room with Lily then laying down and napping with Louie. Over the years after Louie passed away, we adopted 2 more cats, Jasper and Pumpkin. Little did we know, Pumpkin was pregnant with 6 kittens when we adopted her! Our family kept one all black kitten (Jet) and were able to find homes for the other 5. Lily was much more fond of Jasper, Pumpkin, and Jet, and I remember having wonderful Saturday mornings relaxing & playing with all 4 in the living room. I decided to rescue my own dog, a Cockapoo, during college from a family whose son showed hostility toward Cinnamon. Now he is a 11-years-young playful and loving dog, who still enjoys playing and the daily walks despite his older age. Growing up in a house full of loving pets, I learned that each one has a personality of his/her own. Each dog or cat has different preferences on strangers, petting, food, and playtime. This is what I love most about meeting new animals! I love learning their personalities, likes/dislikes, and what really makes them happy. I know it's hard to leave your pet alone when working or traveling, and I would love to be that trusting person to get to know your fur baby and give them some love and attention - we could go for a walk, enjoy play time, or simply sit and cuddle.
