I grew up a dog owner in a family who treats their dogs just as that: family. Our dog's needs and happiness were always just as important (if not more) as any two-legged family member's. I have experience pet sitting/walking dogs. I am an active person who loves to be outside, which, paired with my love for dogs makes me an excellent playmate for your pooch. I have read books on every dog breed that I have owned in order to better understand my dog's behavior/needs. I make adjustments to our daily activities accordingly. My labradoodle for example is most happy when he has a job to do (this comes from his breed's intent to be working/service dogs). When we go on walks I either let him wear his doggy backpack or give him a stick to carry in his mouth. Although learning about a dog is important, I believe nothing trumps good belly rubbin love--and I love to love dogs!
