Pet care experience
Hello! I'm Kate. I'm a lifelong pet owner and animal lover with experience dog walking and short-term cat and dog sitting for friends and family. I'm also a recent feline foster mom of 1.5 years. Due to recent changes in both my career and living situation, I am no longer in a position to keep pets full-time in my home, so I'm thankful to have the opportunity to get my four-legged fix through Rover. Animals have always held a special place in my life and my heart, and there's endless love to go around for your furry friend! My main services are dog walking and cat/dog drop-ins, but I also provide house sitting for up to two small-medium dogs and cats.

This was our first booking on Rover and Kate handled all of our first time anxieties (and my excessive texts) with absolute grace. The mid-day and end of day updates were appreciated and we knew our boy was in good hands. We came home to a clean house and really couldn't have asked for a better experience. Thank you Kate!

I am currently unable to care for pets in my own home, but I am more than willing to come to you to fulfill your pet care needs. My goal is to make your pet feel as comfortable and loved as possible in my care and to maintain open and transparent communication with you, their human, so you can rest assured knowing your pet is in good hands. All instructions and considerations for your pet will be diligently carried out. From snuggling on the couch to blazing new trails, I am able to keep up with pets of all energy levels. I love helping cats practice the perfect pounce. I am also a very active person and love running, hiking, and exploring new neighborhoods in my spare time so high energy pups are welcome! I have knowledge of pet first aid and have taken the Red Cross Cat and Dog First Aid course.

Please let me know your pet's care schedule when it comes to feedings, walks, medications, and other special considerations including any ongoing health concerns. I would also like to know if your pet has any reactiveness or triggers when it comes to other animals, certain areas, etc.
A typical day
I want to keep your pet as engaged, entertained, and active as their health, age, and energy levels will allow. For younger and more energetic dogs, long trail walks, jogs, games of fetch, hide and seek, and plenty of play time with toys are great options. For senior or lower energy dogs, easy walks around the neighborhood with low-intensity play time are my go-tos. For cats, I opt for stimulation of their natural prey drive through toys, laser pointers, and enrichment games. I'm located close to many trails including BWI and Patapsco.

Since I'm currently in between jobs, my availability is very open and scheduling is flexible. I am available to take jobs throughout the week as well as most weekends and evenings! I am reliable, communicate well, am easy to reach, and seek to make scheduling care for your pet simple and hassle-free.
