Care for your family like family!!!

Pet care experience

Hi there, I’m Kat and I can’t wait to meet you and your dog. I promise to provide love, dedication, and honest and kind-hearted care for your pet. There’s just no better way to spend your time than taking care of happy dogs! Their selfless love for us inspires me every day, which is why I’ve always tried to put a smile on as many puppy faces as I could. I’ve had a love for animals my whole life, so being a professional dog sitter really is a dream come true for me. I love meeting new pups and learning all about their unique personalities, so I can’t wait to meet your best friend! Although I’ll be the primary caretaker, my house is a wonderful place for a pup to spend their time. I have a husband and two small children, and they are all avid dog lovers. They just can’t wait to have a new furry friend in the mix! My husband grew up on a farm with many dogs and has tons of experience with taking care of dogs. I also have two cats and two dogs, and they are just as friendly as can be! I stay home most of the time, so we would spend a lot of time cuddling and playing. Since I’ll be home throughout the day, it makes me a great fit for pups that are used to having a human presence around them during the day. My experience taking care of dogs is extensive. I have over 20 years of experience handling dogs, which has come from being an owner myself, as professional sitter, and as a caretaker. I am certified in Pet CPR and First Aid, and am a member of the NAPPS society. I have extensive experience with all sorts of dogs, everything from extra small dogs to massive canines! I’ve personally had a handful of White German Shepherds, so big dogs are no problem for me at all. I’m prepared for emergencies, so your pup will be in good hands, no matter what! When taking on a new client, I typically like to schedule a meet-and-greet. It’s a great way to make sure that we’re all a good fit for one another, which is so important to me. Likewise, it gives us the opportunity to chat face-to-face about your pup and your care expectations. No one knows your dog better than you do, so it’s always great to chat with owners in person about what makes their pup tick! Finally, I just love meeting new dogs! I like to get down on their level to show them that I’m a welcome presence here to make friends, and I’m sure we’ll be best buddies in no time at all.

Our pups had a great time at Katherine’s place! She was attentive and kept us updated over the weekend. She was extremely flexible when our travel plans changed. Katherine is a positive and pup-tacular sitter!

Information Katherine H. would like to know about your pet

I do not have breed preferences, but I certainly do prefer and must insist on dogs who are non-aggressive and alright around other animals. I like to keep a handy copy of dog's shot records, regular vet and veterinary office info, a list of any likes, dislikes, allergies, triggers, medications and any specific needs, such as a specific blanket or toy they sleep with at night.

A typical day

My neighborhood is called Bluebonnet Place and it is right by TCU. It is quaint and full of busy college students studying in their homes. I love our brick home because it is cozy, small and very much akin to a bungalow. We have a fenced-in, large backyard that is covered in grass and has two trees and my son's tree house, which he loves to play in nearly daily. Our backyard is perfect for finding that perfect sunbeam for an afternoon nap—your pup will love it! I love that our neighborhood is so close to everything in the city, including the Trinity Trails which are great for walking. All dogs here will love our neighborhood because it is great for walking and incredibly pet friendly! There are tons of things to do, so we’ll never be at a loss for adventures.
