I’ve taken care of pets (my own, family, and friends) since I was 12, including feeding, bathing, and calming down anxious dogs. I focus on making sure pets feel safe and comfortable through respecting their boundaries. I’ve cared for a variety of breeds and sizes, and have experience with handling unexpected emergencies.

I like to maintain cleanliness, make sure anything harmful is not within reach of a pet, understanding if certain areas are off limit, and keep attention on a pet while still allowing them to relax or play as they wish. I like to update parents daily with pictures and ensure to communicate any issues, whether big or small.

Besides the obvious such as medical needs, it’s important for me to know if a pet gets along with other animals and other humans, if they have any “triggers”, and how reactive they are. Overall, I do not judge by breed of species, but I do listen to pet’s body language and respect it as such. As long as a pet won’t randomly attack and doesn’t do resource guarding with food, I feel confident in my ability to care for any pet.
A typical day
I know every dog is different so I do different things with each dog. I love doing anything from cuddling to giving them snacks, playing fetch or tug, or chasing them around.

Availability
I work part time as a barista, so my schedule changes often. I’m usually able to check in on a pet every 5-8 hours on days I work. I am willing to reserve days for 24 hour care, however this would be an additional fee and must be requested with enough time (approximately 3 weeks in advance).
