The "always stops to pet dogs" lady

Pet care experience

I also go by Kassie ❤️ First, I'd like to tell you a little about myself. I am/was a stay-at-home mom of 3 kiddos. This fall starts a new chapter with all three in school all the time. I am a lifelong lover of pets. I have always been passionate about pets and caring for them even at a young age. I started dog sitting at the age of 10 (too long ago to mention in years - ha) and I’ve had my own dogs for 10+ years. I am home, typically, mosy of my day. My husband works from home, as well, so if you were looking to board with us, your baby would not be alone during the day except for rare occasions. I have experience watching all ages, personalities, and breeds of dogs and cats. I pride myself on being able to accommodate, acknowledge, and help each individual pet and care for them appropriately. I also pride myself on being responsible, reliable, and prompt. I communicate openly and often while caring for your family member. I send multiple photos throughout their visit or through my visit with them. I truly have never met a dog or cat that I didn't like. I honestly strive to make sure each pet is happy, comfortable, and well taken care of. I treat every "client" like they are my own, so they feel all the love during an anxious time being away from their loved ones. A little about my family and our home. As I stated before, I have 3 children. Ages ranging from 5 to 10. All three have been around dogs and cats their whole lives. They are and have been absolutely raised to be nurturing, calm, and respectful to all living things. Each of my children truly enjoy having guests in our house or going to visit them! We have a fenced in backyard and a deck that is a favorite of visitors to hangout on and watch the wildlife while soaking up some sun! The kids and I like to take the pups on walks around the neighborhood whenever weather allows. We have one dog named Bailey. We rescued him about 2 years ago from Tennessee Dachshund Rescue. He is about 3 years old. He absolutely loves having friends come to play with him. However, if you are looking to board with us, I always recommend a meet and greet ahead of time just to make sure everyone gets along! I want to note that we have a weight limit for boarding because Bailey has not done well in the past with pups bigger than him. He gets anxious and will bark a lot at the dog so for that reason we unfortunately have to restrict the size of the dogs we take for boarding. I also want to note that I have experience in administering medicine with all ages and sizes of pets. I have experience administering insulin injections, oral medication, as well as topical medicines. I have also administered IVs for pets in the past. Lastly, I wanted to note that if you are looking for "House Sitting" ... I consider house sitting multiple visits a day, bringing in your mail, taking out the trash, etc. I, however, am not able to spend the night due to having children but have absolutely no problem coming super early or late to let pups out before bed. House Sitting on Rover includes spending the night in their description - however I still wanted to provide a more economical option for folks that need multiple drop ins per day - doing multiple drop in requests can add up quickly! I look forward to hearing from you :) Please message me with any questions you might have or feel free to text me directly.

Katherine is wonderful! We had short notice and she adjusted her daily schedule to fit us in! Tucker, has shockingly, allowed her to pet him on each visit! He hates everyone until they have been around for ages. Katherine is fantastic!

Katherine is amazing. She takes such good care of our dog. We never wonder if Winnie will be sad or lonely because she has so much fun with Katherine and her family.

Tucker hates everyone. Katharine has checked up on him during two times we needed her service. She is the first person he has let touch him without spending weeks around first. She is super thorough and does an amazing job! Cannot recommend her more highly.

Safety, trust & environment

We have a fenced in backyard. We allow pets on the couch, however, if that is something you don't allow and would like us to follow while they are with us, we certainly can do that! We allow dogs to sleep with us or with the children- honestly our policy is whatever makes them feel the most comfortable in our home is what we will do. When caring for a fur baby in your home - I always pay exceptional attention to detail and have always been great at reading the fur baby's signs and signals if they need more for me (typically just extra extra love to feel comfortable)!!

Home

Lives in a house
Has a fenced yard
Non-smoking household
Has 1 dog
Children 6-12 years old

Dogs allowed on furniture
Potty breaks every 0-2 hours

Information Katherine C. would like to know about your pet

Are they good with kids and other dogs? Is there anything they absolutely love? Is there anything they absolutely hate or are there things that should be avoided, for example, the sound balloons make when you rub them really upset some dogs but not others.

A typical day

We go on frequent walks around the neighborhood! We typically go on 2 walks a day. We love to play fetch in the backyard and run around! We keep an embarrassing number of toys around so there is always something for everyone! We also frequently walk the Greenway close to our house. We are AVID belly scratchers and tend to be generous with the treats. We love to cuddle our four-legged guests and treat them like our own.

I typically wake up around 5:30/6 to let pups out and start our day. Around 7 am is when I typically do breakfast for pups and kids lol. After school drop off, I come home and take pups on a walk if the weather allows or play with toys inside. In the afternoon, the kiddos love coming home from school and playing fetch outside before dinner or handing out extra belly rubs! I like to feed the pups around 5 in the evening. If you are looking for walks or drop ins, with my husband working from home he is able to help with the kiddos, so if you need early hours or late, I am able to accommodate those. I am both a morning and night person, so times are not a concern of mine.
