Pet care experience
I am a dog lover who has volunteered with area rescues and the Wake County Animal center since 2014. I walked dogs at the Wake County Animal Center from December 2014 through February 2016. I moved to fostering dogs in 2015 and still do. At times I care for the dogs being fostered by others so they can take a trip. I've fostered puppies as well as old dogs so I have a range of experience with dogs of different ages and needs. I have experience giving oral medication, adjust my walks based on a dog's energy/health level, and will play with them based on their preferred interests (such as throwing a ball or playing tug). Each dog is different and has special ways they need care. I started an Instagram account for showing off the foster dogs I care for, which you can find at @fosterofdogs. When not caring for dogs, I work for myself as a business consultant. PS - I change my hair every few months to keep things interesting.

Seriously, the most amazing person to help us on our wedding day!! We forgot to leave a key and she was sweet enough to let us bring her one. She has taken care of our cats a few times and today she took care of the whole gang and was so patient with us. Thank you

I couldn’t have asked for anyone better than Katherine to watch my 3 pups for the holidays! Not only was she prompt each and every visit, my grand dog, who barks continually at people she doesn’t know, actually didn’t bark every time she came, and even began to feel comfortable enough to play with her toys. My super shy senior dog also seemed very happy from the pictures I got and I think my other dog was ready just to go home with her! I got detailed reports of pertinent happenings, ie fireworks going off on Christmas night which scared them, and really cute pictures of what they were doing. I wouldn’t hesitate to hire Katherine again and feel very happy to have found someone I can trust fully with my fur babies. She was also very comfortable with my house alarm system and didn’t seem scared to operate it like so many other people I have had watch my dogs. She returned the key very promptly and was very professional. Anyone who can handle my crazy crew of 3 is an official dog whisperer in my opinion. Thank you again, Katherine.
