** I am allergic to cats and unable to dog sit in a home that has indoor cats** **I currently have two jobs that require me to frequently be out of the house for 8 hours at a time! I cannot guarantee mid-day potty breaks on those days. Please keep this in mind while considering me for dogsitting!** Hello! My name is Katherine and I am a 26 year-old university student. I have grown up with dogs and have over seven years of experience dog-sitting and caring for other people's pets. Because I am not able to have a dog of my own in my current housing, I love looking after my friend's furry companions, whether it be overnight or just to throw the ball for an afternoon. I would love to hang out with your dog for an afternoon walk or during your family vacation! I have experience with both young and elderly dogs. I prefer larger dogs, but am fine with smaller dogs as well. I can not care for your dog in my home, but I have lots of experience house-sitting as well as dog-sitting and am comfortable going to someone else's home to care for their pet. In addition, I am currently working in the Portland area. This means I might have days where I am out of the home for up to 8 hours. Please keep this in mind if your pets need someone to be in the home more frequently! Because of increasing traffic as things go back to normal, I will not be able to swing by during my breaks to let your pets out for potty breaks.

I recognize that every dog is different and want to respect your dog's needs to ensure a safe, relaxing, and fun experience.
A typical day
I will take your dog on walks or light hikes. If your dog needs something a little bit more active, I would be more than happy to go on harder hikes, longer walks, or runs. However, I will not take dogs I have just met to the dog park and will only take dogs I know (with owner permission) to their preferred parks.
