Fun for juniors & safe for seniors!

Pet care experience

If the thought of leaving your best friend in a kennel while you vacation is enough to make you re-think your plans, welcome! You're our kind of people! We strive for the next best thing to being home for your dog. Here, your special ones will find all the comforts my two girls enjoy. Taking care of someone's adored dog is an honor I take very seriously! Here, we have two large and secure six-foot fenced grassy areas for exercise and play time. Most importantly, your pup(s) will always receive lots of loving attention. Our wooded property has been described as a summer camp for dogs! Guest dogs are rarely alone because I work at home. Safety and security are our highest priority. I love hearing people say: “While we were away, we didn’t worry a bit!" While I encourage pre-boarding interviews (meet and greets) to insure Happy Campers, sometimes time is of the essence, and in that case, a phone conversation may possibly suffice. I'm usually available for a phone chat via the special number provided by Rover that connects us anonymously. Weather permitting, your pup can go outside frequently to play, wander, or to just sniff around. If this is your dog's first time staying here, it's helpful to plan for a brief meeting to view our house and play yards and to discuss how we can make your dog feel at home and have the most fun. About this sitter: I work from home so I can offer 24/7 love and affection, supervised playtime and socialization. As a dog show participant for many years, I have been training dogs in conformation and basic commands, with many an hour conditioning my dogs for racing and coursing. Love to throw a ball or frisbee for the high energy pups! Our two large, separate play yards have access via doggy door into our house and our sun porch. Weather permitting, your dog may enjoy as much time outside time as it wants to wander or play. There is always someone here paying attention to their needs. Hartsfield-Jackson airport is only 30 minutes up the road from us.

Katherine was wonderful and took great care of our sweet dog. She was an excellent communicator and kept us informed about how he was doing with regular updates and photos. Would trust her any time to watch our pets again!

Katherine made or 4-legged son feel comfortable at her home right away and sent pictures during his stay.

Safety, trust & environment

We live with a couple of friendly older pups who are willing to play with or simply hang out with yours. Rhythm and Coral are both very mellow and easy-going. For dogs that prefer quiet time alone, we can easily manage that, too. Older and more fragile dogs are cared for so they will feel safe and comfy. Now and then, we may even let them sleep with us, if that's what they are used to at home. For the younger and higher energy dogs, there's always supervised access to plenty of space to run and play.

Information Katherine B. would like to know about your pet

As a former vet assistant, I'm proficient in administering injections and other medications. Over many years, I've accumulated a world of experience caring for dogs of all ages, sizes and energy levels. Older and special needs sweethearts receive special care and attention!! Ensuring a fun and safe experience for every guest is always my first priority!

A typical day

I get a kick out of playing with higher energy pups... throwing a frisbee or ball is one option, but we're open to hear your suggestions for fun activities, depending on your dog's interests. Please feel free to suggest! The mellow 'couch potatoes' and lap sitters will find us warmly accommodating!

We are here on the premises almost all the time. I work from home and my husband is retired, so one of us is usually here to care for your buddy. If feasible, first-time guests should be dropped off as early in your day as you can manage, so John and I (Katherine) can have plenty of one-on-one time together before it's time to retire for the night.
