Katherine grew up in an environment surrounded with animals; not only dogs and cats, but goats and other farm animals. She spent much of her time helping her mother, who is a veterinarian, work with the animals. At a young age, Katherine was given her own dog, a Chihuahua named Poqui, who she cared for until she left home to pursue her education at UC Berkeley. After obtaining an undergraduate degree, Katherine changed her career direction to be more involved with animals. She obtained a veterinary technicians degree, and has worked at various animal hospitals and rescue centers. She has also volunteered her time and skills helping animals. Her love and passion for animals has now led her in the direction of becoming a veterinarian. She has been accepted and will start veterinary school in a year. In the mean time she wants to increase her experience with animals on a more personal level by providing pet sitting and other pet care services. Because of Katherine’s exposure with numerous animals while growing up, her work as a veterinary technician, and especially her love and compassion for animals, she is very capable and responsible for providing various pet care services. Katherine currently owns a Chihuahua mix and a rescue cat.
