I have taken a two semester course in the art of veterinary assistance leading to me working part-time at a veterinary hospital for a year and a half, where I learned a miriad of animal care procedures and techniques. What I learned covered things like cutting a dogs nails, dog behavior, giving subcutaneous injections and oral medications, to grooming techniques, to warning signs in case of emergency as well as how to best handle emergency situations. Dog walking is something I personally enjoy very much because it gives me chance to enjoy the scenery, breathe in the fresh air, while enjoying the company of a loving friend. I absolutely love and admire all animals, but dogs will always have a special place in my heart.
