I’m a school teacher in Dupont and I’m able to go home during my lunch breaks to check in, give them a potty break, or take a short walk. After school and on weekends, I’m fully available for long walks, playtime, and snuggles!

A typical day
A typical day starts with a calm morning walk to Aslin or Mikko, two of my favorite dog-friendly coffee spots in the neighborhood. I love grabbing a coffee and reading outside while your pup enjoys the fresh air and a relaxed start to the day 🐾☕. During the day, we might take a longer walk to explore the neighborhood and get some exercise, or enjoy quiet time at home depending on your dog’s energy and routine. Evenings are all about winding down; dinner, cuddles, and maybe a little TV before bedtime. My goal is to make each dog feel at home, relaxed, and genuinely cared for.

Hi! My name is Katherin. I only host one dog at a time, so your pup will get my full attention, love, and care throughout their entire stay. I keep a calm home, follow routines closely, and make sure every dog feels safe, relaxed, and spoiled. I grew up with my dog Pinta for 15 wonderful years, which shaped my love for pets. Being away from home now, caring for dogs brings me so much joy! I truly enjoy building trust with each pup and making them feel comfortable, safe, and loved. My home is peaceful, clean, and perfect for dogs who enjoy companionship in a relaxed environment. My building has a fenced dog park, and I’m close to a lot of dog friendly areas in Dupont Circle for walks, fresh air, and exploration.

Katherin is the absolute best!!!! She went absolutely above and beyond caring for Hugo. She took him on lots of fun adventures everyday, including to nearby coffee shops, dog parks, and long walks to Georgetown. She also attended to an unexpected medical need and sent detailed updates everyday, which gave me such peace of mind. Thank you Katherin, Hugo was so lucky to have such a fun vacation with you!
I can’t say enough good things! We felt so good knowing our dog, Ollie, was being loved and cared for by Katherin for the 4 days we were away. She followed our instructions perfectly and provided daily updates with pictures so not only did we know what he was doing but we got to see him enjoying his time too. Katherin made it easy for us to relax and enjoy our time away knowing Ollie was safe and happy too. She was also very responsive and flexible both before and during the stay. Ollie came home healthy and happy and he can’t wait to stay with Katherin again!
Katherin was amazing! She sent detailed and thoughtful updates about my dog’s stay, giving me at least three updates a day, with such cute pictures! She made sure my dog ate, brushed her teeth, and gave her long walks around the neighborhood. I felt at ease knowing my dog was in such good hands.
