Pet care experience
I grew up with large German Shepherds my entire life, and love nothing more than the companionship of a dog! After being in college, I missed interacting with dogs daily, and want that feeling again which only comes with [wo]man's best friend. I feel very comfortable with large breeds (my first German Shepherd was 150 lbs!), puppies, or senior dogs, and can even administer medication if necessary. I have had dogs with medical conditions (diabetes and a lung disorder), and have a keen eye for spotting something that's not quite right. Most importantly, I'm here to help your dog be as happy and loved as possible :) The dogs I take care of get frequent trips out trail running, hiking, to the beach, to coffee shops, and wherever else you want them to go!

Katerina was amazing with our large puppy. We were so relaxed on our vacation knowing he was being loved and entertained while we were away for the week. Our pup randomly got a bit of an inflamed paw while we were away and Katerina noticed something was up right away. She contacted us and arranged to take him to our vet that day. She applied medication to his foot per our vets instructions and kept us informed and updated all along. We couldn't have been happier with her and it was obvious that our pup really loved spending the week with Katerina.
Katerina was amazing with our dogs. She has a large yard that ours dogs had a ball in! They also loved all the attention and love they got for Katerina and her roommates. We enjoyed the pictures and updates we got. We would definitely recommend Katerina to friends and we will use her again next time we need a dog sitter.
Katerina was fantastic! She did an awesome job taking care of my dog and communicating with me. I could tell that my dog had a great time during her stay with Katerina. I will be sure to book with her again when I am back in the area : )
Katerina was amazing with our hyperactive dog. She provided regular updates, was caring, took our dog on walks, was attentive, and was absolutely amazing. We contacted Katerina on short notice and she graciously agreed to take our dog in without any issues. Will re-book her again if an opportunity arises.

I believe the dog's well-being comes first, so I would love to know what makes your dog happiest—whether that's a certain place to walk, a toy he/she loves, or anything else! It would be great to know whether the dog I'm caring for has any tendencies while walking, interacting with other dogs, or any other animals. In addition, I would like to know whether the dog is treat/food motivated, etc., and whether he/she has any allergies or medical conditions I should be aware of. My previous German Shepherd had diabetes and I gave him insulin shots, so I can administer medication if necessary. While I don't have any breed preferences, I have had large German Shepherds my entire life, and feel comfortable handling and caring for large breeds!
A typical day
I would first ask the owner what the dog's most-liked places and activities are, because I want the dog to be happy when we are together! His/her well-being comes first! Other than that, I love exploring the trails around Palo Alto, and would love to take the dog with me. If the dog likes, I can also go to dog parks, open fields to play catch, etc.
