I have always felt drawn to dogs and they have almost unanimously respond well to me. I grew up having a dog and will always want one (or more!) in my life. For the last few years, I have been watching my neighbors' Boston Terrier while they are on vacation- anywhere from a few days to several weeks. It is my job to take care of her, everything from walking that ball of energy for an hour every day to feeding and cleaning up after the little poop machine. Even after my neighbors moved a few hours away, they come all the way back to have me take care of their dog while they travel. I grew up around a Border Collie mix from the time I was a few months old until I was 16. Once I grew old enough, I shared the responsibilities with my brothers, and eventually took care of her myself after my brothers moved out. I now volunteer with a cat rescue and adoption organization here in San Diego- but I miss spending time with dogs!!
