Let me start by saying Katelyn is very nice. When she came over to meet us and our dogs before we booked with her there were no red flags. We showed her around and chatted for about an hour and decided to book with her. She sent us her work schedule and so we arranged for our neighbors to let our dogs out since she would be working late. I do not like writing negative reviews so this is taking a lot for me to post this but I feel others should be aware of the circumstances…Eventually she let us know another day got added to her schedule and then she let us know she needed to leave even earlier to get a family member to work also. And then the only day off she had she let us know she would be leaving to go hang out with her friends. But only planned to be gone 4 hours. And then asked if it were okay on the day we come home if she leaves in the morning to go on vacation herself. I didn’t know what to do but ultimately communicated with our neighbor to step in when she couldn’t be there as it was too late for us to find anyone else. We didn’t expect her to be there 24/7 but ultimately we were under the impression she would be there more than she had planned to be. Unfortunately while we were gone she caused me severe stress and anxiety. She was constantly messaging me about the dogs. She didn’t know how to wipe there paws and my floors were muddy. She called me one night and left a message that she was severely stressed out because the dogs wouldn’t get off of the bed so she could get in the bed. It didn’t stop there. I received multiple messages about my dogs needing a bath and that my sheets were muddy from them. The icing on the cake was her letting me know that she didn’t wake up until noon so my dogs did not eat until noon so we then had to have my neighbor come and do dinner while she was at work. Before she came we wrote out a feed schedule and she agreed to it…I think Katelynn is very nice but she is very inexperienced with dogs. Our dogs are pretty easy going we just feed them in the morning and evening and play with them….I was so stressed from the constant messaging that i wanted to come home early. Unfortunately i was unable to change my flight but my trip felt miserable because i was constantly getting messages..I couldn’t imagine what would have happened if i had been in another country with no phone service. I’m not sure if she thought she was doing the right thing with the constant messaging but it caused us severe stress on our vacation. We were with multiple people who had dog sitters at home and they were shocked by the messages i was receiving from our sitter while their sitters were doing just fine…I would have liked maybe one or two updates a day but it was excessive. When we got home we walked in to a complete disaster. There was a hole in our wall that she didn’t know how it had got there, there was more mud then i had ever seen, stains on carpet, couches, curtains, walls covered in mud…the mess isn’t a huge deal but wiping there paws would have helped. It seems to me like she just didn’t know how to handle our dogs. Which is all fine but would have been better to know prior to us traveling across the country. I think Katelynn would do better with one small dog or cat or do well with just drop in visits. I am hoping this feedback is constructive and perhaps may help growth in the future.

Katelyn did a fantastic job dropping in to care for our anxious 50lb American bully! She was so patient and helpful with her & has great communication. Would recommend to anyone!
