Pet care experience
Hi! My name is Katelyn. I grew up taking care of cats, tortoises, chickens, fish, and dogs. I love all animals like family. I have extensive animal handling experience through my own pets and the Phoenix Zoo. I was a volunteer keeper assistant of the farm animals for a year and horses for two years. I have taken care of my neighbors dogs multiple times and currently am training my own dog. I am a biology major and psychology minor at ASU hoping to go into animal nutrition and behavior. If you ever have nutrition or training questions for your pet, just ask and if I don't know the answer, I'll find it for you! Those subjects are my passion. I promise I will treat your pets as my own because I know how important they are. They are a part of our family and should be taken care of just as well as a child. They rely on us for everything so I would like to help you make sure they have the happiest and healthiest life.

Katelyn was very prompt to answer all of my questions while I was gone on my trip and felt comfortable with her coming into my home. Although my stubborn/shy cat mostly hid and didn't want any snuggles, Katelyn at least attempted and provided daily pictures!
She was great, there was a little complication with getting into the house but she turned out to be accommodating, friendly, and consistent

I would like to know feeding instructions, medical instructions, contact info for owners and vets, what the dog or cat likes to do for fun, if they have a potty schedule, and any other important information. For house sitting, they must be good with other dogs!
A typical day
You know your pets better than I do. Let me know their favorite walking places. If they like the neighborhood, or park, or if there is a walking trail close by, I will bring them to wherever that favorite place is within reason. For drop in visits, I will feed them if needed, play with them with their favorite toys, hold them if they like to be held, and for dogs I can help train them. I will also walk the dogs for a drop-in visit. For house sitting: I have a service dog who would need to come stay with me for house sitting since I can't be away from her for more than an hour or two.
