Pet care experience
I have been around and taken care of a lot of different animals including both small and large dogs, cats (I have one adorable one myself), and even birds (specifically conures/parakeets). My family had terriers growing up, one of which had yorkie pups (that can often have glucose problems) I helped raise and find homes for. I also have helped take care of neighbor and extended-family pets throughout childhood. Last year I often watched a young retriever for my roommate who was traveling quite a bit for her post-education job search and I helped train her on a leash from being extremely skittish and hard to manage (due to passing cars) to being able to go for walks and jogs no problem.

Despite a few communication discrepancies- Katelyn was overall wonderful to our fur babies! We came back to well-rested and happy doggos (that is so importantly, if you can come back to calm and not stressed dogs from change of environment)! Katelyn quickly adapted Myles, Bentley, and Rosie’s quirks, couch hangs, and most importantly their routine of eat/drink/potty/play! Additionally, Katelyn was able to get the adoration from our felines. Katelyn was very intuitive with our cats, especially Yoma our 16 y/o diabetic cat. She won Yoma’s love and trust. That is the best!! Yoma wont allow just anyone to administer insulin. Thanks so much Katelyn!! We definitely will reach out again! I know the pups already miss ya, LOL!
Katelyn did a fantastic job taking care of our 2 dogs! She is was very punctual and followed up with us on how they were doing!
Katelyn is amazing! We'll be sure to use her again next time we need a sitter.
Katelyn was great. Rue and Ody were happy and content while we were gone and happy and healthy upon return! Rue got her walks and the yard was picked up. The house was left neat as a pin and we received a few pictures and reports during the week. We will ask her to watch the pets again soon!

I live in a house with a roommate and a cat and a dog and they are both very sweet and timid. I would be open to housing your pet should we introduce them first, we also have a fenced and shaded backyard. I’m a runner so if you need your dog exercised and they are trained for jogging I would absolutely love to, or just go to the park and play if the weather allows.
A typical day
Cherokee park is only a few miles from me and I like to explore new parks. I used to run at Tom Sawyer every year so I’m familiar with that park as well. Of course we can talk beforehand about your preferences. :)

I currently just moved to Louisville, I’m from the Elizabethtown area (about 45 min south) and am waiting to hear back on an internship. I am available 24/7 and open to regular arrangements because my internship would primarily be at home. I can watch pets short term or long-term and I am very available to reach and respond quickly.
