Hello, thanks for considering us to watch your fur baby, a little about us...We love dogs! We fostered through Secondhand Hounds for 1.5 years, which gave us experience with all different dogs and many different needs. We also have two pups of our own (Riley & Hank) who we adore and live for! We have been dog sitting on Rover since Dec 2018. As of 3/2020 we have had well over 300 dogs in our home through Rover and fostering. Now what it looks like if your pup stays with us, every pup that stays with us gets plenty of exercise. We have a 1.5 acre lot with the entire backyard fenced (It’s like a dog park) in for dogs to run and play and have a fun time. We also go outside and play fetch, walk on the trails, and just play with the dogs. Another perk is one of us is always home with the dogs so they get a lot of human attention as well. I am a nurse and work evenings and my husband is in construction and works normal day hours. That also allows us to accommodate various drop off and pick up times. What we like to know about your fur baby so we can ensure a smooth transition for the pup and the owner is their feeding routine. We feed all dogs separate so there is no opportunity to fight over food. We also like to know about an excessive barking so we can plan and accommodate for that. We also like to know about any quirks, all dogs have them and it just helps us better take care of them and meet their needs. A couple things about our home and dog sitting routine. We dog sit multiple dogs at a time, it is important that your dog is dog friendly to stay here, if so this is a great place for them as they get a ton of interaction with other pups and there is a human home at all hours of the day. Also if they have a crate we ask you bring that as dogs like to have a safe place for them to retreat to when they are done playing. We also like you to bring a food bowel and their food prepackaged per meal. For the owners we send updates with pictures so you know exactly how your pup is doing. We do have one additional policy and that is a 24 hour rule, if drop off is at 8am than pick up needs to be at 8am, if it will be later we do charge a half day or full day fee. There are exceptions and we aren’t very strict. We put this in place because some bookings are for 48 hours but 1 overnight and Rover charges that as one day instead of two.
