Future vet, 3-yr vet assistant!
Pet care experience
Hi, I'm Katelin! I just got accepted to WSU's veterinary school and was a veterinary assistant for 3 years in a small animal clinic— so I have plenty of experience administering meds, persuading picky eaters, and of course, loving absolutely every animal I've met. Aside from my professional experience, I grew up taking care of my family's high-energy german shorthaired pointer and riding horses for most of my childhood. I have house-sat all kinds of pets in the past, even administered fluids in-home to a friend's senior cat, and am willing to watch any kind of animal as long as you provide instructions for care!
Reviews
Katelin was wonderful. She took the time to get to know our anxious pup and was so kind. She kept us updated throughout her stay and took great care of our dog and house. We’ll definitely be booking with her again.
Bailey, who is still hesitant around humans, absolutely loves Katelin!
We are so grateful to have Katelin be our dog sitter while we were away for a few days. She was attentive, communicated often, took him on walks and hikes, and overall did an amazing job with my fur baby! So nice being able to enjoy a vacation knowing he's safe in her highly competent hands.
Katelin was a lifesaver taking care our three big dogs for our long vacation. She was so communicative, attentive and easy to work with. I usually have a hard time leaving them but I was able to relax knowing they were in good hands. Would love to have her back anytime!

Safety, trust & environment
I am extremely detailed and health-oriented (a result of working in the veterinary field) and make sure to follow the pet parent's instructions thoroughly. I like to set up a meet-and-greet session prior to the sitting so that we can all be sure everyone is comfortable and happy with the match! I am also happy to be as active as you would like with your pet— I am an avid hiker and would love to spend time out on walks.
Information Katelin B. would like to know about your pet
I like to make sure I have as much information as possible to make sure your fur babe is getting the best possible care. Any allergies, health concerns, or past experiences that impact a pet's temperament are all great to know. Also, would be great to know of any little quirks they may have (not good with other animals, scared of certain noises, etc.), as well as a couple of things that always make them happy!
A typical day
I grew up near the Columbia River Gorge, and as a result, adore being outside walking or hiking. I have lots of outdoorsy places around Spokane (Holmberg park, Centennial trail, Lincoln Park, Dishman Hills) where I enjoy going for walks, and would be happy to take your pup out and have some company on them! Aside from walks, we would hang out at home, play fetch, just let out some zoomies, or spend time doing whatever else is your pet's favorite pastime. Cuddles are always included when wanted!

Availability
I work in research now, so I’ve been missing my daily dose of cuteness. I have a very stable schedule, always am available on weekday evenings or early mornings, and am completely free on the weekends. I can house-sit through the week, as long as you know check-ins would be less frequent than weekends, since I have an 8-4 pm schedule; though can come back midday on lunch breaks.
