Professional house and pet sitter!

Pet care experience

I have been taking care of homes and pets for 15+ years. In my teen years I helped out the neighbors and military families. Throughout undergrad and grad school I built a portfolio of clients from colleagues, classmates, and referrals. My book of business has grown to the point that my sister ( Anne) who is a student at Creighton shares clients with me. My clients really like that they get me and her because it means if I’m booked or busy she often will be available and ready to help! I have experience with all types of dogs from high needs dogs to dogs that just love to snooze. I have experience with all breeds and sizes. I am exceptionally responsible and tidy. I am able to provide several positive references of pleased clients! My sister and I are really go with the flow; I enjoy quiet to work and my sister likes to study. I am more than happy to accommodate the needs of you and your furry family members!

Kate the Great!!! Kate is so awesome! We could tell from the meet n’ greet that she was trustworthy, kind and responsible, and we quickly felt very comfortable leaving our sweet fur baby and home in her care. We got lots of fun pics and videos of our sweet guy from Kate. It was so nice being able to wind down our vacation nights with these sweet videos and pictures of our boy. It’s rare that we leave our boy so we really missed him a lot, but we felt great comfort knowing he was in such good hands with Kate. Our eight year old mixed breed has some health issues and needed medications and some special love and care. He received all the special care, love and attention, and Kate made sure his regular routine and comforts weren’t interrupted by us being gone. That was the goal, and Kate made sure it was a success! The house was left clean as it was found and Kate even put her sheets in the wash for us! Such a polite overnight sitter! We would recommend Kate to anyone and will definitely be booking her again! It’s also fun we share the same name. Rover is such a great service! Without it, we probably wouldn’t have found Kate. ?

Kate was awesome. The kids liked her immediately at the meet n greet, and she took very good care of them. Will definitely have her take care of them again!

Kate is the absolute best dog sitter i've ever experienced. She's watched my dogs on multiple occassions as well as my mom's cat and my brothers Shiba Inu. She is a truly compassionate human that loves all animals. Cats, dogs, bunnies, and her favorite Bee's will receive all the love and cuddles when Kate watches your pet. She is always prompt and responsive, willing to come for walks, feedings, overnights, long trips, etc. you name it! I would trust my fur family with Kate in a heart beat and I recommend her to all of my friends! Your pets could not be in better hands. Bonus; Kate will often take photos, snapchat or instagram you updates while you're away. Kate is an extension of our family and my three dogs absolutely adore her.

Kate has watched my 2 year old twins and both of my dogs multiple times! She is one of the most responsible people that I will actually allow to sit with my kids and puppies! She is so loving and so caring and truly is a self-less person and will go above and beyond for your fur-babies!

Information Kate T. would like to know about your pet

In my years of dog sitting I’ve found that proud pet parents tend to oversell the behavior of their pets so that I take the booking. Please, don’t do this! If you have a dog who is food aggressive or has major separation anxiety or excessively barks any other behavioral issue you are setting all parties up for failure if you don’t disclose those things. I want to know EVERYTHING. And the truth wont scare me off! It will just help me be the best care provider I can be. Some general things I like to know: 1.) how is the dog around other dogs we may encounter on walks? 2.) how long can the dog be left alone? 3.) what is the best way to motivate your animal to behave? 4.) are there training commands I need to know about so I can stay consistent? 5.) if a puppy where are we at with potty training? 6.) what’s the Wi-Fi password? ? 7.) food and food rituals 8.) available treats

A typical day

It varies! I have a client who let me take their dog on a staycation over my birthday and the dog stayed at the hotel with me. I have clients who just want to lounge and get rubs. I’ll walk them! Car rides. Pup cups! I avoid dog park visits typically unless the dog is super socialized and used to those environments.

Availability

I work full time from home. My sister works part time and is a student full time. Sometimes it works out so that I am home all the time with the animal, sometimes it works out that my job requires my sister to come and help with bathroom or meal time. We STRONGLY prefer to stay at houses so that your animal is not stressed out or thrown off their normal routine. Dogs like routine and cats build trust with consistency.
