Pet care experience
Hi there! My name is Kate, my pronouns are they/them/their, and I have an almost 2-year-old miniature-dachshund named, Milo. I am currently attending CATCH Canine Trainer’s Academy to become a certified dog trainer. I have experience with puppies, leash-pullers, low and high energy dogs, reactivity, possessiveness/guarding, separation anxiety, socialization, fearful/shy dogs, and more. *Please note that while I primarily focus on dogs, I do accept cats and other pets.* To save time, please consider the following when deciding if I am the right pet sitter for you:
Reviews
Kate was amazing! They were very patient with Ollie and got him to go outside on a cold day, even when he probably didn’t want to. Would absolutely recommend Kate!
When we had to leave our 7 month old puppy for the first time for a week we just couldn’t bear to put her in a kennel so at the last minute we found Kate - best move ever! Kate took great care of Bailey - keeping her company and loving her while we were away, not just walking and feeding her - which made us feel so much better. Kate provided Dailey updates on baileys activities and was totally professional and responsible! Kate even did some training work with our puppy who’s still learning.
Kate does a great job keeping me up to date while I'm gone. She sends photos and play by play updates. She loves Waylon and treats him like he's her own. I never have to worry when I'm gone while Kate is with him. Kate does a great job!
Kate was great with Ollie, super patient and friendly with him.

I always like to schedule meet and greets before bookings and highly recommend them for pet sitting. I am an active person who enjoys going on hikes and long walks, but if your pup is the kind who prefers to stay in and snuggle, I enjoy that just as much. The more information you provide me about your fur baby, the better! I love taking photos and videos of pets as well and have no issue providing those to you. Feel free to check out the best photos I've taken of previous clients’ pets on my Instagram (@katesdoggyservices). 💜

・I do have a part-time job at a restaurant where I normally work Sunday nights, Monday mornings, and Tuesday mornings. I make exceptions when caring for puppies as they need attention every 2-4 hours. I have had many clients reach out whose dogs have separation anxiety. Unfortunately, I cannot accept any more clients who ask me not to work at the restaurant those three days out of the week while pet sitting due to loss of income. If you are open to negotiation, there is a chance that we can potentially work something out. *Please note: I offer separation anxiety training at an additional cost.* ・I am not able to accept bookings with clients who are uncomfortable with Milo joining me. I do prefer to introduce Milo to new dogs on my own or with my business partner, Marc, because a lot of dogs react differently when their owners are present and it generally takes more than one introduction between Milo and the new dog(s) to acclimate to each other. ・Generally speaking, the only guest I have over is my business partner Marc in the event I need help with Milo, so if you are a client who is uncomfortable with guests over, I have no issue bringing Marc to a meet and greet for you to meet both of us. *Please note: Marc primarily offers trick-training for dogs while I focus more on behavioral training.* ・When I am not working at the restaurant, I try to accept dog walks and drop-in visits from 11:00AM-2:00PM. I do my absolute best to never be away from pets for more than 4 hours at a time. (I also have no issue bringing your dog(s) on walks with other dogs if all parties are comfortable with that.) If those requirements sound good to you, please reach out to set up a meet and greet! I would absolutely love to meet you and your pets. 💜
