Pet care experience
A persons pet is part of their family. I grew up with dogs, have fostered dogs and also have years of experience pet sitting from multiple daily visits to home stays to boarding. I learn as much as I can about the dog before first watching them. Every dog is different and it is important to me to know not only medical needs but their temperament and personality as well in able to make sure that I provide the best care possible. I have a flexible schedule so I'm happy to help last minute or when something unexpected comes up. I am also glad to take your dog to the groomers, vet, or even dog park. I like to check in and/or send photos to dog owners to give peace of mind ( as well as a cute picture). I want to work with you to provide the best care and experience for you and your dog as possible.

Kate was reliable and very communicative! I appreciated the photos and updates throughout the stay. Kate was even super accommodating during with my flight cancellation on Halloween, even staying another night!
Kate was SO WONDERFUL! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!! ? Our beloved Pomeranian is not always the easiest dog on the block to watch, but Kate did a great job. We were so thankful that she was not only flexible in her schedule but so enthusiastic about watching Furby. She was prompt, immediately responsive on all her communications, and most importantly- great with animals. Our dog wasn't feeling all that great before we left for our dinner plans, but when we returned he had turned back into his normal happy self. I attribute this fully to having Kate taking care of our 'fur baby'!!

I would like to meet the owner and their pet before watching them. I would ask for a rundown of the dog's daily schedule as well as what the owner would like from me. I would ask about age, health, their temperament, any anxieties they might have, how well trained they are, how they interact with other dogs as well as people. In case of emergency I would ask for their vet's number. Any and all details the owner would like to give are always appreciated. I'm happy to watch most any breed, however I would prefer dogs weighing 60lbs or under.
A typical day
Lots of walks, I love Audubon, Crescent Park and pretty shaded side streets. Also time outside playing fetch and tug of war, belly rubs and cuddles. The level of activity/what we do will be dictated by what the owner would like, physical abilities of the dog as well as their preferences and whatever makes their tail wag the most :)
