I would not recommend Kate to take care of your pets. I booked her to watch my house and care for my two dogs, one of which suffers from severe anxiety, and the other is geriatric. Because I do not feel comfortable leaving my dogs alone for extended periods of time I asked Kate to stay in my home while I was gone. I was so grateful she agreed to look after my dogs I even left her $40 cash for food during her stay. Something she didn’t realize is that I have a security system in my home which allows me to track when doors are opened and closed. On the first day Kate let my dogs outside from 6:30 pm-6:33 pm, then left my house and never returned. After I confronted the situation via the Rover messaging app between the hours of 3:30 am and 8:30 am, she finally responded at around 10 am - after leaving my dogs for over 16 hours by themselves. Her excuse is something came up and she forgot. She also said she didn’t feel comfortable keeping the money I left her and that she would return it- which she never did. I felt awful for my dogs and completely enraged from this situation. It’s unclear to me if she had ever intended to stay in my home since it later became apparent she didn’t bring any of her belongings into my house and the guest room remained untouched. I am also under the impression that I wouldn’t have found out about this situation had it not been for my security system. Do not book with Kate, she is not trustworthy and clearly does not care about caring for others beloved pets.

Kate is great with dogs! She babysits children regularly, and that often includes pets. She is responsible and trustworthy with dogs and will treat them like family.
