Pet care experience
I began pet sitting over 15 years ago and have taken care of dogs big and small, young and old. I have cared for special needs pups who require special diets, medications, and mobility assistance. I have also trained my own dog since she was 8 weeks old and use positive training methods. I also sit for cats of all ages and have taken care of up to 30 cats at a time (this is for real. A farm with 30+ cats, some ferral, that would come and go as they pleased. Lots of food, lots of water, lots of litter, but best of all, lots of love!)

Kate was wonderful! She provided a warm and loving environment for my little Pip during her day care stay. Kate provided multiple photos and updates throughout the day and was very flexible in the drop-off and pick-up times. Pip came home happy after a full day of play and TLC. Kate pet sat for my 75 pound dog and my cat that rules the house for close to a week. She is very good at taking the dog for long walks and was able to have play time with her dog which was great for my dog while I was away as he has separation anxiety being a rescue. My home was well taken care of and we returned to clean sheets and happy fur babies.

I have a 4 year old Golden Doodle who loves to play with other dogs. She prefers to run and be chased, but will also participate in a good tug-of- war. We hike almost every day and if you're dog likes that too, we'd be happy to have them along. If they prefer to be the solo dog, I'm happy to make multiple hikes/walks per day. I live in a house with a fenced backyard. It's a great place for running and playing on hot days (I have a doggie pool).

I would like to know the age and size of a pet, if they have been regularly vaccinated (not a deal breaker), and if they have undergone basic training (house-trained, leash walking, etc), and if they are spayed/neutered. No breed preferences
A typical day
I am an avid hiker and would love to take any active pups on hikes in the Superior/Boulder area. On hot days, I will be cognizant of the heat and go on hikes or walks early in the day and with water for the dog to access for cooling. For less active pups, we will take walks in parks or around the neighborhood in which you live. On hot days, we will walk in grassy areas to avoid hot sidewalks and cement. For dogs who like to socialize, we can have play dates with my own dog or visit dog parks or populated trails.

I currently work from home and have flexibility in my daily schedule for walk and play visits. And as long as I have an internet connection, I can work from anywhere for over-night stays.
