My name is Kate, and I'm a full-time marketing consultant. I have been fostering, rescuing, and working with dogs since I was a teenager. As a volunteer at the Leon County Humane Society, I was known as the "dog whisperer" for my ability to put even the most traumatized dogs at ease. I am the "go-to" dog sitter for many of my friends and family, and have even watched 4 chihuahuas (and 4 cats, a chinchilla, and a turtle!) all at the same time. As a frequent traveler in the past, I know how important it was to have a "go-to" sitter that I could trust. My own dog needed to stay in his house and suffered from severe separation anxiety; that experience made me realize how important quality sitters are for dog owners. Now, I want to give back and provide that service to other dogs. I have grown up with a variety of breeds, from German Shepherds to shih tzus, and have leash trained and socialized over 50 dogs both at home and as a volunteer. More than anything though, I love dogs and love showering them with love and affection! I'm also a big-time cat lady and have fostered cats in the past. I am also happy to take care of your cat during your weekends away!
