Alittle bit about me! My name is Kate and I am a proud pet parent of two, my 9 year old black lab Winter, and Dorothy, my 12 year old black cat. I’ve had pets all my life and ones with medical conditions as well so I know how to check glucose levels and administer insulin if your cat is diabetic. I am also very familiar with oral meds and eye drops too! I am happy to walk your doggy, drop-in on your cat and give cuddles and fill in for you when you’re on vacay or simply don’t have the time!

This is the second time that Kate took care of our cat Luka. Our door app did not work on the first day. Kate was great with communication and stayed extra time on the next visit. Thank you again!
This was our very first time using Rover and Kate was really wonderful throughout the process. She came by early to meet our fur baby, and learn the routines. She was great at easing my worries about being away with daily updates and photos. She left our place immaculate and I definitely hope to have her take care of our kitty again!

I have a two bedroom apartment very close to the beautiful Queen Elizabeth park where doggies can be off leash! It’s one of my favourite dog parks due to the amount of space. I have a car as well to take my dog to the north shore mountains! As for drop in visits, I’d love to pre meet your pets and get to know their quirks as we all know our animals are unique and special in their own way!

I love all doggies but obviously want to ensure the proper care is required for your unique fur baby! I’d love to know if your dog has any special requirements ie needs meds, hearing or seeing impaired, incontinence, how they walk on leash and off leash, if they’re good with other dogs or not and if they’re comfortable with all people, people approaching them etc, Having special diets for my own pets I would like to understand if your pet has any regimented diet or feeding plan upfront.
A typical day
I am a big walker and hiker, but I’ll do the right amount of exercise that suits your pups needs! I for one am very used to energy so I do a mix of block walk on leash with my lab and off leash park play! I have a car too and will take my dog to off leash trails like pacific spirit and north shore trails! My dog is also toy obsessed and always has something in her mouth so if your doggy loves a toy I am happy to play as much as they need.

Availability
I am a full time work from home professional. My weekends are usually fairly flexible as are my weeknights. Because I have the luxury of working from home, I can also pop out during the day and oftentimes do with my own doggy!
