Hi, I’m Kate! I recently graduated from the University of Iowa (go hawks!) and am now pursuing my masters degree in counseling. Typically I start my days around 8am and end them close to 11pm, but of course I’m very flexible and would be more than happy to adjust to your needs. I have grown up with dogs and have dog sat for numerous friends and family in the area. Currently my family has two golden retrievers, one being only 7 months old, so I’m used to the puppy stage! I understand that each dog has its own individual needs despite breed, age, etc. and am excited to cater to and get to know your dog(s)!

Please let me know about any routine your dog likes to stick too so I can accommodate it best and keep them comfortable. Additionally, I will ask you about typical behaviors in regard to feeding, going to the bathroom, barking, etc. so I can understand what is normal and what might be out of the ordinary when I am with them.

I love going on walks and have a few parks and bike trails I visit regularly that would work great for dogs to come on with me!

Availability
I am currently working part-time with a set schedule of going in on Mondays, Thursdays, and Fridays, for a maximum timeframe of 8am-4:30pm with an hour lunch break starting at noon, however lately I have only been working either the morning or afternoon portion of the day. On Wednesday evenings I have class for my graduate program from 5pm to 9pm with a few short breaks here and there - these classes are via Zoom so if I am dog sitting I’ll be at your house during this time!
