Some of my earliest memories involve being surrounded by dogs; my grandmother bred Black Labs in Illinois for 20 years and I inherited her love for 4-leggers. Five years ago I got my own pup, a rescue Cockalier named Georgie Girl, who inspired me to become active in animal rescue and fostering here in New York City. Suffice to say, I've had a lot of experience with dogs of all shapes, sizes, and ages. I think an animal makes a house a home. In my home, your buddy will be treated like family. He or she will not only have my company but that of my dog as well. I work mostly from home so they can expect lots of hugs and kisses throughout the day, as well as bathroom breaks and treats - with your permission of course. I also work as a trainer and walker (ask me for more info). I'm centrally located in Manhattan making it easy for you to drop your friend off and get back to them as soon as you can. Coming home to your furry friend is the best feeling in the world and I promise that when you're away, they will feel at home with me.

Information Kate L. would like to know about your pet
I would like to know as much about your dog as possible before sitting them, primarily if they have any aggressive behavior issues - for the safety of my own dog. They MUST be housetrained meaning no accidents in the house or on the furniture though they may be wee pad trained. I prefer dogs that are crate trained or don't resist being separated by a baby gate when I leave the house. I do this for personal peace of mind that they aren't doing something harmful to themselves while I'm away from home. I need to know if they have any allergies or anxieties, if they have specific dietary needs or concerns (I have treats here but I would like your permission to grant them). I would also like to know as much of their medical history as possible so I am prepared to have them in my company.
A typical day
Your pup will have two playmates at my house: me and my dog, Georgie. He or she will be free to enjoy our toy box, with plush toys, ropes, balls, and chew sticks. Weather permitting, we live close to a dog park and Central park and may take in the sun together.
