I'm fully a dog person and I engage with them quite well, I think they're better companions to humans sometimes. I have dog sat for family friends in the past before. I live in Brooklyn and they live in Jersey so I would travel there every day after work, spend the night, walk them in the morning and then head back into the city, it always worked out well! One of the dogs had to be spooned a xanax every morning so I would spoon it into some peanut butter and feed it to one of the pups named Dexter (he was a bit of an aggressive dog but easy to keep under control). I dog sit for them every winter for about 2-3 weeks when they vacation.
