Pet care experience
Hello! Former dog-owner looking to get my fix! I have had dogs all my life, was a horseback rider for 10 years, and am now without either and would love to have some time around animals again. I'm a very active person and would love to take your dog for a long walk, go to the park, or just visit and hang out for a bit. I have had a couple of different dog breeds in my life (Wheaton terriers, boxers, collies, ridgeback, bulldog, etc) and understand that a little patience goes a long way when it comes to dogs. Having spent the majority of my life with animals I have a lot of common sense about animal basics and feel very comfortable navigating life with a dog.

Kate did a wonderful job staying with and caring for my dog Diesel! She was super responsive, asked great questions during our meet and greet, and provided regular updates while I was away. I came home to a happy and well cared for pup. I'd absolutely use her again and recommend her for others!
Kate has been great watching my two dogs in the past. She clearly understands there needs and wants and is definitely a dog person- though she has also watched a friends cat in the past... So I guess you can say she is a pet person!
Kate was a dream. Pia is 11 years old and can be high maintenance, but Kate was sweet and understanding with him. She updated me with what was going on and contacted me with questions when they arose. I was gone for one evening and she stayed and my place to keep Pia happy. I’m so grateful and would certainly book her again in the future.
I 100% vouch for Kate as being a trustworthy pet sitter. She is the go-to dog auntie for dogs of many breeds/ages within our friend group. She is especially good about meeting their energy needs. Whether your dog needs a long walk to stretch his legs, some play time to exercise his brain, or a bathroom break and some TLC, she'll give him perfect care. I have lived with her and she helped me out quite a bit when I took in two foster puppies (quite a handful!). She's got a watchful eye, and is also a complete ninja when it comes to those doggo things, like getting the trash out of a dogs mouth when he thought you didn't see him chomp on a bunch of trash. She's quick-witted and level headed, loving and fun.

I also lived with a vet school student (and her several dogs) for many years and picked up a lot on the basics of dog care and safety from her. I would say- when it comes to safety, one of my biggest strengths is that I have a good idea for when a situation needs to be escalated to a vet.

A typical day
If your dog likes running- I'd love to take them with me! I'm training for my first half marathon and would love a running buddy to keep me motivated. Maybe they're not quite on that marathon track? Happy to take a nice stroll and take in the sights!
