Experience with Breeds of All Kinds
Pet care experience
While I may not have a dog of my own, I have a serious passion for animals of all kinds and sizes. I have been a volunteer dog walker at my local SPCA, have over a year of work experience at a doggy daycare, and have been taking care of family and friends' pets since I was just a kid. I've seen the good, the bad, and the ugly, and am prepared to take on any task that comes with caring for an animal. I've cleaned up all kinds of messes imaginable, broken up my fair share of fights, and know that pet care can be a serious and intense job. I also know that every owner just wants to make sure that their fur baby is safe, happy, and given the specific kind of care they need, and I can absolutely be the one to aid you in getting that peace of mind.
Reviews
I have 2 dogs that Kate has taken care of. She walked them and played with them. She is amazing with dogs of all sizes. She is very patient and loving.
Kate house/pet sat for my dog and cat. My dog is very active and Kate was very attentive to her. She is a German Shoethaired Pointer, so very active. She sent daily pictures to me and it meant a lot. I trust her with my babies and can’t wait for her to pet sit again! Becca S.
I would highly recommend Kate to dog sit!! My two dogs love having her come over to play and she is wonderful with them! Kate is very trustworthy, dependable, reliable and a true dog-lover. She will treat your dogs like they were her own.

I will love your pet as if they were my own. I will be firm when needed for the more stubborn of dogs while also being their favorite cuddle buddy. I want to tailor my care around each individual pets' needs. If they've got tons of energy, we can spend our time playing fetch or learning tricks to stimulate their mind. If they're a couch potato, we can put on some bird videos or classical music and have a cuddle sesh. I'll do whatever I can do to make them feel at home and comfortable while their person is away.
Information Kate J. would like to know about your pet
I'd like to know all the general details: if they get along with other dogs and animals, how they are on a leash, their favorite things to do, their typical daily schedule, and any special needs or accommodations your pet may need - nothing is too meticulous! Please also let me know the breed of your dog, as I have asthma that can worsen due to certain breeds' dander.
A typical day
You can expect lots of walks and/or hikes (my go-to is Pearson or Middlegrounds Metropark for off-leash fun and socialization), taking them to the nearest beach if that's something they enjoy, turning mundane daily activities into mentally stimulating ones with a touch of training, and maybe making some treats from scratch! Whatever your dog likes to do, I'm there for the ride.

As I've just moved back home after college, my schedule is way too free for my liking. I've got plenty of extra time on my hands, on top of the time and love I give to my own pet (he's a cat! His name is Norman). I also do freelance transcription work, which I can take with me wherever I go. What I really want to do is establish a routine around caring for YOUR pet.
