Ever since I was little, I have always loved animals. I have 6+ years experience caring for dogs, cats, and birds. I am comfortable caring for animals with special medical needs and dispensing pet medications. For five years, I cared for an asthmatic cat with hyperthyroidism. I have also cared for cats with heart problems and dogs with chronic conditions. I'm also an expert at bringing shy animals out of their shell. I am an avid runner having completed seven marathons. I love running with dogs and being outside. I have a calm quiet manner, hence my friends and previous clients have dubbed me the pet whisper. I am an assistant reading teacher at a small urban charter school serving grades K-3. Many of my students come from challenging backgrounds and often require extra support and kindness from a caring adult.
