I’m an FSU graduate, and love dogs!
Pet care experience
I graduated from FSU this summer, and I'm currently studying for the DAT. Therefore, I have a very flexible schedule and am available for last-minute bookings. I'm hard-working and would love to help make your schedule less hectic. I have worked with Rover on my summer breaks for over five years. I have enjoyed all the incredible people & dogs I've met along the way. I initially joined Rover to find a dog sitter for our family's dogs since they appeared stressed and would not eat when boarded. Having a dog sitter allowed our puppies to maintain their routines and significantly reduced their anxiety. After seeing the positive changes in our dog's behavior, I decided to sign up to help other families. I've grown up surrounded by a mix of different breeds. Therefore, I'm comfortable with both large and small dogs. Beyond Rover, I have enjoyed volunteering at several shelters across Florida. I have always been an animal lover and would be thrilled to care for your animals. I can take your dog on several walks throughout the day. I can also bring dogs to the groomer, administer medication, etc. My goal is to help reduce the anxiety of both the pet and the owner. Leaving your pets while traveling can be stressful and requires a great deal of trust. Therefore, if given the opportunity, I will ensure they are comfortable while you're away. Feel free to message me with any further questions or to schedule a meet and greet!
Reviews
Kate was great and patient with my dogs for a couple of overnights. Would highly recommend.
Kate is extremely responsive, friendly, and prompt! My dog is deaf and can be hesitant with new people, but Kate has been patient and very understanding of her needs. She’s done a great job on drop-in visits and walks and always shares picture updates!
Kate was amazing!
Kate did a great job checking in on our two pups. She was a great communicator and sent us great pictures. I would recommend her to anyone and will definitely be reaching out in the future!

For at-home visits and dog walking, I always send tons of pictures for you to enjoy. I also like to give the owner a brief update each time I stop by. Some examples of these updates include low food or water bowls and whether your dog pooped & peed. I've found that these updates can be particularly beneficial for recurring visits. For boarding and overnight stays, your dog is welcome to sleep on my bed, in their crate, or their dog bed. Each dog is unique, and our home is very pet friendly. Therefore, whatever your dog is used to is what I will aim to provide. Additionally, my home has a spacious and fenced-in backyard. While you are away, I can take your dog on several walks, hang out in the backyard, play with some of their favorite toys, and of course, give them lots of pets.
Information Kate H. would like to know about your pet
For the most successful experience, knowing your dog's breed and age would be helpful before dog-sitting them. Any special request, such as feeding, medications, etc., would also be beneficial.
A typical day
Although pet owners wish they could spend all day with their dogs, work and social commitments can interfere. Therefore, I aim to keep your dog active, mentally stimulated, happy, and, most importantly, safe while you are away. As I've previously mentioned, each dog is unique. Therefore, I try to cater to your dog's specific needs. Younger dogs and puppies might enjoy a longer walk, light jogging, or an intense game of fetch. However, older dogs might prefer indoor play due to the Florida heat. Whatever your dog may need, I am happy to help!
