Pet care experience
I have 17 years as a pet care professional. Caring for animals is my passion and I'm lucky to be able to do it for a living. In my time running an animal rescue, I've fostered nearly a hundred dogs of all shapes and sizes, many came right from the shelter. I've also worked in vet hospitals, as a groomer, dog walker, dog daycare attendant and dog trainer. I've provided in home pet care services for the last 5 years. I'm comfortable working with all breeds, as well as dogs that have behavior issues. I take a force free approach, am a certified Fear Free Pet Care provider, and I adhere strictly to LIMA (least intrusive, minimally aversive) training strategy. I am highly experienced reading dog body language and am a confident dog handler. I've participated in several dog behavior courses and am experienced with separation anxiety, reactivity, and general "obedience" issues. I've completed the Pet Sitter Certification course online through pet sitter course dot com and was recently accepted into the Karen Pryor Dog Training Program which I'll begin September 2022. I'm very excited for this opportunity to provide continued exceptional care for your companion animals which is bettered by my ongoing education. We recently moved here to Arizona from southern California. While living in Los Angeles, I provided exceptional personalized pet care for many clients. I had lots of dog walking regular as well as tons of exotic critter clients. Their pictures can be seen in my profile. You can't deny those happy faces. My dog walking clients loved me and often referred me to friends and family. I take pride in the bonds I create with my client's companion animals. Nothing makes me happier than wiggly dog butts excited to go for a walk. In addition to my experience with dogs and cats, I am also highly skilled at caring for small animals such as guinea pigs, hamsters, hedgehogs and rats. I also enjoy and am experienced working with with reptiles and birds. No need to hire 2 pet sitters when 1 can do it all! If you don't see a critter listed, don't fret. It's likely I've worked with them and have experience, there are just too many to mention. I also work with outdoor animals like chickens, ducks, and mini pigs.

We make your pets safety our number 1 priority while they are in our care. We utilize gates around the front door and garage door, have double locks on our RV gate and a perimeter fence preventing smaller dogs from accessing the side of the house. Pets are never left unattended in the yard and we use multiple points of contact for our walks. Pets are fed in separate areas and group play us closely monitored. Inside the home, dogs have unrestricted access to our couch and bed, we allow them to sleep wherever they're most comfortable. We provide multiple opportunities for rest as well as one on one play time. When your dogs are with us, they truly become part of our family and each is treated with the utmost care and respect.

IMPORTANT : Dogs must be generally friendly with other dogs, as I do board a few at a time as well as have daycare dogs during the week. Small, timid, or senior dogs are kept in the living room while the large daycare dogs play in the other areas and dogs always have the option to come into the quiet area for naps or cuddles. I cannot board aggressive or highly reactive dogs at this time. If you're unsure if your dog meets our criteria, I'm happy to answer any questions or set up a meet and greet so we can see if we're a match. Does your dog have: Anxiety, any medical issues, allergies, diet requirements, behavior issues, potty accidents in the house. None of these are deal breakers, I just like to be prepared. Please note, dogs must have up to date vaccinations (for our protection and theirs). Please be prepared to provide documentation from your veterinarian prior to drop off. A photo of vaccination records is fine or you can bring them to the meet and greet. Thank you in advance for your cooperation.
A typical day
We've turned our backyard into a pup oasis. We have natural shade from a large tree plus extra shade sails providing ample opportunities to be out of direct sun. We have nice cool grass, a play pool, agility equipment, misters, elevated cooling beds, and concrete block walls for safety. As a precaution, pets are never out side in hot weather longer than 15 minutes ⏰ at a time and under no circumstances are ever left out unattended. ⚠We take pet safety very seriously⚠ I am certified in Pet first Aid and CPR by the American Red Cross. We also have plenty of indoor activities to do such as enrichment games, lots of fun toys to chase and of course....cuddling. We have a nice shady park within walking distance for on leash exercise. We love providing fun enrichment activities such as kongs, lick mats, games, and pup parties. We make healthy homemade dog treats every week and have a million dog toys!
