Hi there - I am local to the Hudson Valley and happily available to housesit and dog-walk in the immediate area. I love dogs, cats, birds, fish, horses, goats and probably any other pet you have... hermit crab? Iguana? I love hiking and walking by the river, so I am active and outside a lot and would love to take your awesome dog out with me! I also love knitting and watching movies, so if your stay-home pets need a little company I would love to meet them, too. I'm happy to provide references attesting to my dog-whispering abilities and my respectful, tidy house-sitter skills. When I traveled to Switzerland for three weeks, Kate came to stay at my house in Maine with my dog Fluffy, a 65lb chow/malamute mix. She took excellent care of him, loved him endlessly, exercised him and prepared his food daily (he is on a special diet) She also maintained my home quite well and did a few minor home repairs. She is very talented, compassionate and motivated. I would definitely have Kate stay with Fluffy again... Thank you my dear!
I wholeheartedly recommend Kate! She often minds Cashew, my pitbull/mastiff, while I'm away: it's debatable if he ever wants me to come home! She knows her stuff (food, walks, snuggles), is extremely responsible, and couldn't be more loving. Cashew loves his Auntie Kate, and I am sure yours will, too. A++ !!!
Kate is a kind, caring and attentive pet sitter. She took care of my turtle for 3 months while I was abroad. When I returned Tubbs, my turtle, was in great shape and health. I totally recommend Kate with 5 stars.

Whether they have some favorite spots for walks. Anything else I need to be mindful of behavior-wise and of course any medical concerns.
A typical day
I've been dog walking and pet sitting off and on for fifteen years. My favorite thing is to take a dog-pal (on-leash) for moderate hikes, but if you're dog is super active and would like a longer hike, or super mellow/older and just wants to go around the block a few times that's okay too. If s/he's down for jogging we can also do that!
