I have an 8 year old terrier mix named Roo, so if your dog wants to have a friend while you're out of town we're the perfect match! While I'm comfortable with dogs of all ages and sizes and breeds, Roo prefers her size or smaller (she's 35 pounds).

Kate was wonderful with our pup Charlie. She sent pictures or videos every day where he always appeared very happy. He was cuddled and spent lots of time playing with her dog Roo. We will definitely be happy to leave Charlie with Kate and Roo moving forward. :)
Kate was super communicative and accommodating during my dog's stay. Her place was very clean and she took my dog to work with her, so she was always with somebody. I got multiple pictures a day and I felt very comfortable especially for being gone so long.
Kate was not only amazing with us she was incredible with our dog Taxi. He is 7 years old but still has that puppy energy. Kate asked all the right questions about Taxi. Regarding his relationship with other dogs on the street, his preferences for sleeping, eating habits, how he is when approached by children, everything you can think of. She cared for Taxi like her own, gave us picture updates and made sure to keep us posted on how happy he was. Not only was his stay with Kate a memorable one (and put us at ease) but Taxi's reaction when he saw Kate again ensured she was the best dog sitter we could find.
We cannot say enough wonderful things about Kate. She is so kind, responsible and trustworthy. We can count on her for anything and most importantly, she takes SUCH great care of our dog. Our dogs have the best time playing together and Kate does a fabulous job of keeping us updated and sending photos/videos while we are away. We know our pup is in great hands when Kate is with her - she gives her so much love and attention and treats her like her own. If you are looking for a good person to care for your special pet, Kate is your gal. xx

I live in an apartment complex that has a yard where my dog runs around off leash but it's not fenced in. Dogs are allowed on the furniture and on the bed. We go on occasional hikes at Mandeville Canyon. My dog loves dogs her size or smaller but can be timid around larger dogs so we'd prefer to house those that are 35 pounds and under who are not dog or ball aggressive. Roo can be food aggressive, so when we are watching another pup I always feed them in different rooms and it solves the problem.

A typical day
We'll go on walks around Santa Monica, and play in the fenced in yard with all of the neighbor dogs if yours is comfortable with the group.

I work full time M-F but I do work from home 3/5 days and can make accommodations to be home the other 2 if needed. If it's a weekend I can be flexible on hours they'd be left alone, but usually don't go more than 8 hours for my dog.
